You get 200 free credits when you sign up. A full generation costs 10 credits, so the free allowance covers 20 full generations. The free signup credits do not renew automatically. Basic includes 2,000 credits for 10 € per month; Pro includes 5,000 credits for 20 € per month. Both subscriptions can be canceled monthly.
Download Hooka, open it in your DAW (or Standalone), click AI CONNECT, enter your email and paste the sign-in code we email you. That is your account — no separate web signup, no password.
Yes. Generation happens on Hooka's cloud, so you need an internet connection each time you press Generate. The preview and drag-into-DAW work offline once the take is generated.
Yes. Every note Hooka outputs is royalty-free — use it in commercial releases, sync placements, samples, whatever. No credit required.
Hooka runs as a VST3 plugin, an AU plugin (macOS only) and a Standalone application. Any DAW that hosts VST3 or AU can load it. A tested-DAW list will appear here after the Day 6 release-candidate matrix (Logic, Ableton and a Windows VST3 host are the first covered).
Windows code signing is deliberately deferred at MVP so we can ship the Windows build sooner and use real-world feedback to prioritise it. SmartScreen will warn on first install — see the Windows notice in the Download section for step-by-step guidance.
The plugin tells you exactly how many credits are left and that a full generation costs 10 credits. Free users can choose a Basic or Pro monthly subscription when they need more. One-time credit top-ups are planned, but are not currently available.
Every editor state has a HELP button that opens this help page. Sign-in issues, payment, installation and account deletion all live there. You can also delete your account directly from the in-app account panel.
