Signing in
Hooka uses email sign-in codes — no password. In the plugin, click AI CONNECT, type the email address you want the account under, and press Send code. You will receive a six-digit sign-in code in a minute or two. Paste it into the code field and press Verify. That signs the device in and unlocks generation.
Not seeing the code? Check the spam folder for a message from noreply@mail.hooka.app (or whichever sender your delivery shows). If it does not arrive within five minutes, request a new one and try a different mailbox.
Credits and pricing
You receive 200 credits, one-time on signup. A full generation costs 10 credits, so the free allowance covers 20 full generations. Credits do not renew automatically.
Paid top-ups: 10 € for 200 credits or 20 € for 500 credits. Email hooka.vst@gmail.com from your account address with which tier you want; Damian invoices you manually and adds the credits within a business day. Automated Stripe checkout replaces this step without changing the offer.
Out of credits
When your balance goes below 10, Generate reports that you are out of credits and shows the top-up prices. You can still play, drag and export any take that is already on the piano roll — the balance only gates a new generation.
Installing on macOS
Download the .pkg installer from the Download section, open it, and follow the prompts. Restart your DAW so it re-scans for the new plugin, then look for Hooka under your AU or VST3 plugin browser. Standalone lives in your Applications folder as Hooka.
Apple signing and notarization are being acquired. Release notes will name the exact version at which macOS ships fully signed.
Installing on Windows
The Windows installer at MVP is unsigned. Download the .exe, double-click it and:
- If SmartScreen shows "Windows protected your PC", click More info and then Run anyway.
- Continue through the installer.
- Restart your DAW so it re-scans the VST3 folder.
Code signing is on the roadmap and will remove that warning entirely.
Deleting your account
Open AI CONNECT while signed in and press Delete account. Type DELETE in the confirmation dialog and press Delete account again. Your account, remaining credits and generation history are permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.
If the button ever fails, email hooka.vst@gmail.com from the account's own address and we will delete it manually.
Payment and refunds
Top-ups are currently invoiced manually via email (10 € for 200 credits, 20 € for 500 credits). Damian issues a proper invoice and adds the credits once payment lands — usually within a business day. If credits do not appear or the purchase went wrong, reply to the invoice email and we will refund via the same payment method.
Automated Stripe checkout replaces the manual step in a later update. The offer, the prices and the refund policy stay identical when it does.
